Coronavirus (COVID-19) 2020 Update – Vessels for Christ

Vessels for Christ is an organization I am affiliated with and have worked with in the past. The president released a Coronavirus (COVID-19) 2020 statement.

In difficult times, it is important to take solace in our faith in God. When we reflect on the Coronavirus (COVID-19) 2020 situation, we are reminded that our faith is not in the world, but in Christ. I believe God uses difficult times like these as a reminder to Christians about where to place our focus. As Colossians 3:2 states:

Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.

Even in the wake of a global pandemic, we as believers should replace fear with faith. The following is a statement of encouragement to all Christians from the president, Alex Wright:

First, I would like to acknowledge what is going on in the world right now. There is a virus that has crippled the world and put everything to a stop. We are all living through this, and this virus has impacted every facet of our lives. We draw comfort from the fact that the God that created the heavens and the earth is the same as He was then as He is now. Let us keep our hope strengthened through His son Jesus Christ and keep our eyes on Him. We will get through this and we must continue to prevail through this time. John 5:20 states, “And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.” Let us reflect on this truth. Christians throughout the last 2000 years have gone through so many different challenges, but God has always prevailed and got them through this. He will get us through this. Keep your eyes on Christ and the throne of God.
