Polytheism Originates from Babylonian Pagan Gods
When we observe almost all spiritual worldviews, we can filter them into two silos. One group being monotheism and the other polytheism. Further investigation of the polytheistic sector reveals all archetypal polytheism originates from Babylonian pagan gods.
Ancient Babylonian pagan religion
Ancient Mesopotamia, or Babylon, was a genesis point of most major world belief systems. Babylon remains the first known civilization formed after the world wide flood. This is the same flood story spoken of in the Bible, but also in over 200 various other world cultures.
The Mystery Religion of Ancient Babylon was established with a sort of “pyramid scheme” structure. The people on the very top would have hidden knowledge or information which they wouldn’t disclose to the lower levels of the pyramid. Like we have presidents today, the leaders of Ancient Babylon had priests and spiritual leaders.
Spiritual leaders of Ancient Babylon discovered they could predict solar and lunar cycles based on astrological patterns. In turn, they used this knowledge to predict certain astrological, solar and lunar events for the common people. The lower levels of the knowledge hierarchy were so astonished at the accuracy of the high priests that they swore allegiance to them. The start of polytheism and paganism would begin with one man from Babylon.
The History of the ancient mystery religion of Ancient Babylon
Nimrod
Ancient Babylon created the outline for all pagan or polytheism. The emergence of the archetypal polytheism spawns from a man named Nimrod, the son of Cush. We see references to Cush and Nimrod in the following passages of the Bible:
8 And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth.
9 He was a mighty hunter before the Lord: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the Lord.
10 And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be mighty upon the earth.
6 And they shall waste the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in the entrances thereof: thus shall he deliver us from the Assyrian, when he cometh into our land, and when he treadeth within our borders.
Nimrod was a fierce hunter, who set out to continue the work of his father Cush and try to rise above God. He would later become the leader of the Assyrian / Babylonian empire. Nimrod would serve as the godfather of all paganism, polytheism, and occult practices.

During the reign of Nimrod, Babylon was participating in blood sacrifices and worshiping him as a god. However, Nimrod was eventually killed by Noah’s son Shem and a group of conspirators still following the true God, Yahweh. Shem and his group dismembered Nimrod’s body, and sent the pieces to all of the cities formerly under his rule.
The dismembering of the body proved that Nimrod was not a god, but a mortal man. Shem wanted the people to repent and follow the God of the Old Testament again, like his father Noah. However, the Babylonians were manipulated again with the introduction of Semiramis onto the scene.
Semiramis & Tammuz
Semiramis was the first wife of Cush and the mother of Nimrod. She claimed to be divinely born, without having earthly parents. When Cush lost power, Semiramis married her son Nimrod in order to remain in power. After Nimrod’s death, she became pregnant with the baby. She claimed this baby was the spiritual incarnation of Nimrod, and was a virgin birth.
Semiramis was able to convince Nimrod’s followers that this baby was the fulfillment of the Jesus Christ prophecy from the book of Genesis. Many don’t know that the earliest prophecy of Jesus Christ was in Genesis 3:15:
15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
The people believed Semiramis and worshiped her son as the false savior. She convinced her followers that Nimrod did not actually die, but rather ascended to the sun. She claimed that the rays from the “sun god” were responsible for the immaculate conception. He would then be worshiped as Baal, the sun god. Semiramis claimed to be a goddess herself, coming from divine origin. She eventually became known as the “moon goddess”.
This pseudo or false trinity is the foundation of the archetypal polytheistic structure. Nimrod eventually becomes the archetype of “Father-god”, while Semiramis becomes “Mother-god”. The son of Semiramis, Tammuz, in turn becomes the “Son of god”. This false trinity becomes a reoccurring, fundamental element of polytheism, paganism and the occult.
Archetypal polytheism gods & goddesses: Pseudo trinity
The mystery religion of Ancient Babylon is the root of all paganism. This mystery religion has been passed down from generation to generation, reaching all corners of the earth after Babylon was . Archetypal polytheism survived the fall of ancient Babylon and was spread throughout the globe, dispersing through different languages, cultures, empires, etc. The result is the same archetypal polytheism concepts, figures and mythology all adopting new names and faces within these new cultures.
In archetypal polytheism throughout all cultures and countries, you find the same mythological structure. This archetype contains the same key figures or characters, with the only difference being the names. These figures also have the same description and story-line within the various cultures’ mythology:
- Father-god: Father figure who is “god”
- Mother-god: A virgin woman aka the “mother of god”
- Son of god: A son of the mother, who was impregnated by the male god
While Babylon may have died, the mystery religion of Babylon did not. As the people dispersed into all corners of the earth, they brought this pseudo trinity with them. Eventually this same false polytheism from Babylon was being practiced in all parts of the world. But as the archetype of polytheism spread, the gods names and faces changed. Babylonian polytheism conclusion:
When we really dig in and investigate polytheism, we find reoccurring patterns and archetypes. During researching ancient pagan cultures throughout the world, we find the same pseudo or false trinity nearly every time. We continually find a Father-god, Mother-god and Son of god structure, stemming from the ancient Babylonian mystery religion. This revelation shows the true origins and purpose of polytheism; to keep men from the one, true God.
This fake trinity clearly imitates the true trinity of God, Jesus Christ, and Holy Spirit. But why does the pagan trinity mimic the true, Biblical one? Well we know from the Bible that Satan is the great deceiver. Ever since the Garden of Eden, Satan has been deceiving mankind with false or pseudo truths. The Bible warns us that Satan is very clever when he deceives:
3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
Perhaps the dawn of polytheism from ancient Babylon is another one of the Devil’s tricks to fool mankind.
